News, News, News

Okay, okay, most of you probably have already heard about both of these news stories I'm talking about today but in case you've been living under a rock lately, here goes.

Cresent City 3 has a title and a release date!!!!!

Yup, you heard right. The much anticipated third installment in SJM's Cresent City saga has a name and release date. House of Flames and Shadows is set to hit bookshelves Jan. 30th, 2024. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to read this third book. I think of all the SJM multiverse, the Crescent City series has become my favorite. I love the strength, vulnerability, humor, and sass of the main character, Bryce Quinlan. I've loved watching her growth in herself and her relationships over the course of the two books. SJM, as usual, has crafted a beautiful story full of friendship, laughter, love, heartbreak, and angst that pulls the reader in.

From Amazon:

Bryce Quinlan never expected to see a world other than Midgard, but now that she has, all she wants is to get back. Everything she loves is in Midgard: her family, her friends, her mate. Stranded in a strange new world, she's going to need all her wits about her to get home again. And that's no easy feat when she has no idea who to trust.

Hunt Athalar has found himself in some deep holes in his life, but this one might be the deepest of all. After a few brief months with everything he ever wanted, he's in the Asteri's dungeons again, stripped of his freedom and without a clue as to Bryce's fate. He's desperate to help her, but until he can escape the Asteri's leash, his hands are quite literally tied.

In this sexy, breathtaking sequel to the #1 bestsellers House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath, Sarah J. Maas's Crescent City series reaches new heights as Bryce and Hunt's world is brought to the brink of collapse-with its future resting on their shoulders.

It just gives me goosebumps thinking about it!!!!!

If you are a fan of Colleen Hoover, then you were definitely excited to hear that Justin Baldoni of Five Feet Apart and Jane the Virgin optioned her book, It Ends With Us to make into a film. Well now we have our Lily and our Ryle. Blake Lively will star has the protagonist Lily. Lily, a recent college graduate, who moves to Boston to begin her career and meets Ryle, a doctor who swears he's not girlfriend material. What begins as a sweet love story, delves into a love in an abusive relationship and how to dig yourself out of that cycle. The story heats up when Lily's high school best friend and first love Atlas enters the scene. While, there has been no announcement as to who will be cast as Atlas, it was announced that not only will Baldoni be directing the film, but he will also star in the role of Ryle. No release date information has been given yet, but I'll keep you guys posted as more news comes out.
